Hibiscus Counseling

My parents immigrated to the US in the mid 1970s.  In my youth, I wanted nothing to do with my heritage, but as I matured I understood how my Korean-ness was a big part of my identity, whether I wanted it or not.

So, when I began starting my dream of my own private practice I wanted to pay homage to my culture in some way.  The Hibiscus flower is the national flower of South Korea.  The symbol of this flower can be seen almost everywhere in Korea; printed on money, national emblems, everyday symbolism and marketing, and even in songs and anthems.  It represents "inexhaustible abundance" and immortality, which illustrates Korea's history of resilience.
